A human by nature, nurtures . . . It is our job to nurture those who need it. It is our responsibility to nurture our sisters of the world, the mothers of our children, and the leaders of tomorrow.
Our bracelet symbolizes many things to us as an organization. In its’ simplest form, it is an object of beauty and adornment. An object we wear to reflect the beauty of its’ composition. Throughout time, women have worn adornments to signify many things, beauty, wealth, and stature. Our bracelets are worn to remind us of our commitment to the women of the world. When we see these we are reminded to think of those less fortunate and those who are in need of our help and nurturing.
Each of our bracelets is fabricated in the countries we support through WEI. It is important to us to try and “pay if forward” in small ways. Our goal is to encourage social entrepreneurship among women by providing grants and micro loans to these women. This will enable many to become self sufficient and sustain families torn apart by social epidemics. This empowerment of these women will help to alleviate current small debt, and create jobs in these communities.
The woven bracelet reminds us of projects done here in the Southwest, and Central America. For a donation of $50.00 or more two bracelets will be sent to you. The importance of this is that one is to be worn and one to be given away to continue the cycle of nurturing our fellow woman in need. Send it or give it to a friend, encourage their donation to a cause to help support the women of the world who are ready and willing to become self sufficient. Our goal is not “a hand out”, rather to enable and empower women to be self reliant and contributors to their communities.
The bangle bracelet reminds us of the country from which it comes, India. It is a beautiful sesame wood with turquoise color. It is simple in design and smooth to the touch, just like the program it supports. Simple small loans and grants to women in need, to support their families and communities. Our goal is to assist the farming women of Southern India. For a donation of $100, we will send you two bracelets, wear one as a daily reminder of the women who struggle to support the family left behind in the wake of these suicides. The second bracelet is again to be forwarded to continue the support.
